No Entrance Fees Increasing in 2018 at Shenandoah!

Visitors to Shenandoah can purchase an entrance permit (valid for the day of purchase and next six days.) Frequent visitors to Shenandoah may want to purchase an annual Shenandoah pass. There are also annual and lifetime passes that cover entrance at all National Park Service units and/or Federal areas.

Shenandoah Annual Pass
  • Unlimited entry for one year to pass owner and passengers in
    same vehicle. 
Shenandoah Single Vehicle Fee
  • Unlimited entry for one vehicle and passengers for seven
    consecutive days.
  • Vehicles must be private, noncommercial, and with a seating
    capacity of 15 or less.
Shenandoah "Per Person" Fee
  • Walk-up or single bicycle fee.
  • Unlimited entry for seven consecutive days.
Shenandoah Motorcycle Fee
  • Unlimited entry for one motorcycle and passenger for seven
    consecutive days.
Campground Fees- Camping Information
  • Per site, nightly fee.

2018 Entrance Fee Free Days

  • January 15: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • April 21: First Day of National Park Week
  • September 22: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day


Organized events such as sporting events, ceremonies and large group gatherings, including group bicycle rides and car cruises may require a Special Use Permit.


Commercial Filming of any type requires a permit.
